The Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore have received a CDBG program grant since 1978. The program is the principal funding source for most of our department programs and activities.
Nationally, the CDBG program's main objective is the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income.
The Town currently funds the following activities through the CDBG program:
