Dates: Monday-Friday, June 28-August 27, 2021
Hours: We are open 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (your child does not have to come for the entire day)
$195 per week for Town of Tonawanda & Village of Kenmore residents
$247 per week for non-residents
$185 per week for resident siblings with Access Cards (must reside in same household)
Tuesday/Thursday: $80/week/child for residents or $100/week/child for non-residents
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: $120/week/child for residents of $150/week/child for non-residents
Payment plans may be set up if unable to pay in full at time of registration
Enrollment Fees include up to 10.5 hours of childcare daily, one camp t-shirt per person, full schedule of on-site enrichment activities, and weekly special events and guest performers/educators. Field trips and swimming may be available for additional cost, dependent on COVID-19 status and restrictions. Stay tuned for information as summer approaches.
Registration open March 8 for residents and March 29 for non-residents. Register online at www.ttypr.com or in-person at/by mail to the Youth, Parks & Recreation office (299 Decatur Road, Buffalo, NY 14223; Open Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm). Must have an account to register online.
Any outstanding balance from previous participation in a YPR program must be paid in full before registering for camp. You must pay for at least one-third of your total balance at time of registration, if registering before April 23. 50% of your remaining balance is due by April 23, and the rest is due no later than June 1. Failure to pay remaining balance by June 1 will result in child’s removal from the camp roster for any weeks that are not paid for in full. Re-enrollment will be subject to space availability and full payment prior to enrollment. Sorry, we are unable to make any exceptions. If you register on or after April 23, at least 2/3 of your total balance will be due at time of registration. If you register on or after June 1, 100% of your balance will be due at time of registration.

Cancellation Policy: If you are registered for a week of camp that you need to cancel, you must let us know at least ten full business days in advance. For example: If your child is registered for the week of July 26, you must notify us by 8:00am on Monday, July 12 in order to receive a refund. If you do not give us two weeks’ notice we will NOT be able to offer a refund, as we have to schedule our staff and activities and pay for field trips in advance based on enrollment. All cancellations must be made through the Youth, Parks & Recreation office (831-1001). Any cancellations or enrollment changes made after June 1 will incur a $25 administrative fee.
We are pleased to announce the Jefferson Youth Center Scholarship Program. Please review the strict qualification guidelines below (these guidelines are federally set, sorry we have no "wiggle room"). Applications are due in their entirety (including necessary financial documentation) well in advance of your child's desired start date. We will review applications on a rolling basis and notify you if we are able to provide you with financial assistance, and the level of funding we are able to provide. If any payment is required by you, you would need to submit payment within five days of notification.
Please note there are limited funds available so we encourage submitting an application ASAP. While funds last. Submit your application, along with financial documentation and registration form, before registering/paying for camp.

For ages 10-13 (incoming 5th-8th graders)
Comprised of our oldest campers, our “Majors Camp” is a program that plays an integral part in our other camps, while also existing separately.
Once enrolled, your child will engage in common camp activities such as sports, art, outdoor free time, team building, and more. As we recognize that our oldest campers may have differing interests than our other campers, we also offer age appropriate experiences for your child as well.
Your child will also have the opportunity to apply their honed leadership skills after being placed in a Jr. Camp Leadership position. Here, they will work closely with a camp counselor, coordinator, or camp director. They will be charged with helping to plan, run, and oversee activities for the younger members of our camp.

For ages 4-6 (incoming Pre-K*-1st graders)
*If your child will be starting Pre-K in the fall, they should have participated in a preschool, daycare, or other structured social program before attending camp.
Camp Minis is geared toward children ages 4-6 years old. Campers will engage in age-appropriate games and activities that they can be successful with. They will participate in a daily routine of arts and crafts, non-competitive sports, swimming (twice a week), playground time, team building activities focusing on working together with others and socialization, as well as enrichment and educational activities throughout the day (examples: science lessons and sensory play).
Camp Minis offers a nurturing environment to help our youngest campers feel comfortable trying out new experiences, learning everyday life skills, and building long lasting friendships. They will partake in weekly field trips such as Hidden Valley, Explore and More, and Darien Lake, and campers will have access to many other special weekly events and guests that are sure to engage and entertain campers all summer long! We look forward to an exciting summer ahead!
Camp Minis Director: Melissa Calhoun
Melissa has been our Funland coordinator (ages 4-7) during our school year program for over 20 years and had also acted as the Director of Camp Special Place for several years before that camp merged with our other programs. She also has previous experience working at Summit Center and the Town playgrounds. As the mother of a 5-year old boy, she knows firsthand what works well for this age group and loves planning creative activities, games, stories, and crafts for this age range. Her favorite part of camp is getting to know the kids and coming up with new activities for them, and she especially looks forward to the Camp Carnival each year.
For ages 7-9 (incoming 2nd-4th graders)
Camp Minors is for children ages 7-9. Our daily schedules are designed to support the developmental needs of the growing child. The age groups have different rotating activities to focus on enrichment, skills, fun, physical activity, and educational learning opportunities. Our daily schedule will give campers a sampling of art, sports, playground time, team building, and free play, as well as swimming twice weekly, special guests, presenters, and performers, and camp-wide events. With many different activities being offered, there is always something to be excited about! We encourage our campers to try all of the activities. Campers will be traveling with a group of 8-10 other campers their age and a counselor. This program will provide lots of hands-on, engaging activities. Each week the campers will depart on a field trip and have a presentation that coincides with the camp theme. Teaching cooperation and teamwork are at the heart of this program as campers make new friends, develop life skills, and make amazing summer memories. We cannot wait to get started!
Camp Minors Director: Samantha Dellapenta
Sam returns to Jefferson after spending most of the school year student teaching and substitute teaching. She was our Co-Camp Director in 2019 and is excited to focus on this age group for 2020. With several years’ experience working with our programs and in schools, Sam is excited to incorporate some kitchen chemistry activities, bring in some cool guest presenters, and run some awesome new events (like a Color Run!?). Sam loves going to Darien Lake and riding roller coasters with campers.
